Introduction to: THE PHILOSOPHY OF ISLAM

The article which follows is a work of which I myself am the author, but it was published by an Islamic journal. Despite an extensive search of my various files, I’ve been unable to find the original text, or even a copy of the original text. Therefore, I am presenting surfers this copy of THE ISLAMIC TIMES edition.

It was edited very little, there having been no necessity, so is almost identical to my original. The secretary who typed this article for the Journal has made typographical errors but, in my opinion, these deficiencies in format will not make an essential difference [if the surfer is able to work out the logic of the> sequences!] to an understanding of the points being made. [Article originally written in 1997.]
